FAQs

How old do I have to be to get tattooed?

The state of Tennessee requires that you are at least 18 years of age to get tattooed.  A valid state/military ID, a driver’s license or a passport is required to show proof of age.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes we do!  We take walk-ins on a first come, first serve basis. Our days of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 1pm-9pm.

Do you do piercings?

No, just tattoos.  We recommend Dahlia in Berry Hill for piercings, you can check them out at www.DahliaBodyPiercing.com.

How much will my tattoo cost?

We price tattoos based on size and detail, but our shop minimum is $80.  For larger, more extensive work that may require several sessions to complete, we charge hourly rates from $100-150 per hour, depending on the artist. We will work with you and your budget!  Come in and see us or give us a call so that we can talk to you about your options.

What forms of payment do you take?

Cash is King, but we also take all major credit cards.

How does the process work?

1. Decide on your design. There are many styles of art to choose from, gather reference images to show the artist; with some preparation on your part, we can assure that you get the tattoo that you have in mind.

2. Choose an artist. Feel free to look through the portfolios online or come into the studio to meet them.

3. Come in for a free consultation.  Give us a call so that we make can make sure the artist you wish to speak with is available.

4. Book an appointment and pay a deposit. It is NON-REFUNDABLE, but the deposit comes off the price of your tattoo at the time of completion.  In some cases, you may be able to get in that same day.

How do I make an appointment with a particular artist?

Stop by the studio or give Nichole a call, she will be happy to direct you to the artist with whom you would like to make an appointment.

What do you require to make an appointment?

Depending on the artist, we require a $50-100 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to setup and hold the appointment. The deposit comes off the total cost of your tattoo at time of completion.  Taking a deposit gives us assurance that you are serious about showing up and getting tattooed.  Again, deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.  If you can’t make your appointment, we require at least 48 hours notice or you will forfeit the deposit. If you cancel in advance, we will roll the deposit to your new appointment. We value our time and yours. When canceling your appointment is unavoidable, please give us as much notice as possible.

What happens if I miss my appointment?

While we prefer at least one weeks notice, we require 48 hours notice to cancel an appointment. If notice is not given and you don’t show up, you will forfeit the deposit.

I sent an email, why haven’t I heard back from you?

We’re sorry, things get hectic around here! If you’re having a difficult time connecting with us, it’s always a good idea to come in or call the studio to make sure your email or tattoo request form has not gotten lost.

How do I take care of my tattoo?

If your tattoo is having trouble healing, please give us a call.
Check out our aftercare instructions here.

What about touch ups?

A lot can happen to your tattoo after application.  The care of your tattoo during and after the healing process is just as important as the application of your tattoo.  Please read our aftercare sheet carefully and follow the instructions.  That being said, each artist guarantees their work and offers free touch ups within a reasonable amount of time.  The exceptions to free touch ups are damage due to extended periods of time in the sun and tattoos applied to the hands, feet and fingers; these areas are known for being difficult to heal and tend to lose ink quickly.  We’re happy to touch up these areas, but there will be a charge involved due to the known healing and longevity problems.

Do you cover up or rework tattoos?

Yes!  While we will work with you to give you a tattoo that you can be proud of, your options can be limited depending on what needs to be covered up or reworked.
